LOCHER, J. This action presents two issues for review: (1) whether appellant waived its right to preserve as error the denial of its
motion for directed verdict presented at the conclusion of appellees' case in chief and (2) whether the trial court properly
overruled appellant's motions for directed verdict on the issue of punitive damages. We hold in the negative on both issues
and reverse the judgment of the court of appeals with regard to punitive damages.
